Hurtwood ltd used a retrofit solution to upgrade the obsolete Trend IQ3 Building Management System (BMS) at Stroud District Councils Museum In The Park .
Located in Stratford park , Stroud, the Museum in the park is housed in a 17th century wool merchants house. The building is grade II listed therefore work requires a level of sensitivity on account of the buildings history and has structural limitations to manage as part of the buildings preservation.

We know many estate managers are facing what can feel like an overwhelming challenge of tackling obsolescence within their existing BMS systems. Head to our services page to see how we can help you.
The project at Museum in the park was challenging because of the limited panel space available and the considerable amount of additional monitoring that was required. We needed to provide a solution that was able to work within the existing space but also give the visibility and controls necessary to ensure more energy efficient ways of working.

With this brief in mind we developed a special retrofit solution using our Staeffit retrofit product. Our retrofit solution considerably speeded up the transfer to the new Tridium BMS. The BMS upgrade allowed us to improve some of the environmental control within the building.
